David is the President/ Owner of Technical Fire Analysis, LLC and is a NFPA 1033 certified Fire Investigator. He holds fire investigator certifications with both the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) as well as the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI). David currently holds the position of First Vice President of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators. He holds and Associates Degree in Fire Science Technology and is currently enrolled in the Bachelor’s of Science program for Fire, Arson & Explosion Investigations at Eastern Kentucky University.
 
David has served as a Subject Matter Expert and instructor the National Fire Academy (NFA) in Emmitsburg, Maryland for both the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as well as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), through the Department of Justice.
 
David has been investigating fire & explosion incidents for the last twenty-five years. He retired from the Pennsylvania State Police in 2012 where he was a full-time Deputy Fire Marshal/ Trooper. To date, he has investigated approximately 3,000 fires/explosions. David has offered expert opinions in local, state and federal courts. David has in excess of 1,500 hours of training in the field of fire/explosion investigations.
 
His ability as a Fire Investigator begins with the demonstrated skill for situational analysis and thorough fire scene investigations. He will provide for you a skill set, which ensures maximization of investigatory objectives, coupled with progressive thinking, decisive execution and attention to detail. Focusing on investigation accuracy is his core value, one that he brings to every project which he works. David also has interpersonal skills necessary to foster an environment of cooperation and teamwork. He is will organized and an analytical thinker who welcomes innovative and numerous challenges. All of these traits are paramount for the successful resolution of a fire related loss.
