Roger joined Technical Fire Analysis in March 2015 to investigate fire & explosion incidents for our clients. His wealth of public service experience is a valuable resource to our company and clients alike. Roger began his public service in the volunteer fire service many decades ago. He rose through the ranks and served as the fire chief of his local volunteer fire company for 17 years. Roger then followed his passion and became a career firefighter/paramedic. Roger retired from the Reading FIre Department in January 2021.
Since Roger's fire service career began, he has been interested in the investigation of fire & explosion incidents. In 1990 he was appointed as the assistant to the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal. This designation tasked Roger with the investigation of all fire & explosions within the municipality in which he serves. Roger still holds this designation to this day. It was at this appointment that his education and training began in the field of fire & explosion investigations.
Roger has attended and successfully completed dozens of fire/explosion related classes. From locally held classes to the annual IAAI- International Training Conferences held at various locations around the country.
Among other responsibilities that Roger has, he is currently the President of the Lehigh & Northampton County Fire Investigator Training Association. This association organizes and presents an annual training conference on various topics of fire & explosion investigations that is typically attended by 100+ investigators from Pennsylvania & New Jersey.
